This is the genuine Mercruiser Transom Seal Repair Kit including all necessary parts needed to reseal the transom/bellhousing assembly. Special tools are needed for this and we do stock them in our Mercruiser Tools Category. This kit is for 1992 and newer Alpha I Generation II stern drives.

When replacing these items on your transom assembly, we strongly suggest that you check and replace the shift cable and shift shaft seal at this time if it is needed. The easiest simple check to see if you have had water intrusion on your shift cable is to look where the cable terminates on the shift interrupter (Usually attached to the starboard exhaust riser on single engine boats) and look for rust on the 2 small square lock screws on the slider. If they are rusty looking, the cable should be replaced. Or if you have noticed the engine stalling while shifting to neutral is usually a dead giveaway that the shift cable is binding. We do have all of these parts in stock for immediate shipping as well as the repair manuals as replacing these parts does require a bit of Mercruiser knowledge and some special tools to make the repair a 100% success.
